The Home Education CampaignAs a result the Government immediately published a consultation Home Education - registration and monitoring proposals. Education Otherwise has prepared a page of information about the Badman Review which includes a summary of the recommendations, frequently asked questions, useful links and a sample letter to your MP. It also gives more information about what EO is doing. The Site Map gives you links to all the pages on this website. The Education Otherwise main website provides support and information for families whose children are being educated outside school, and for those who wish to uphold the freedom of families to take proper responsibility for the education of their children. Our Campaigns page will take you to information about current home education campaigns. Latest News brings you updated information. Elective Home Education Guidelines for England were published by DCSF in November 2007. You can read them here. Education Otherwise has been campaigning for over a year to protect home educating lone parents on Income Support. Home educators are not exempt from new regulations which were made on November 24th 2008. We are however assured that the Jobseeker's Allowance regime is flexible enough to allow home educators to be treated "sensitively." Read more here.
