The Home Education Campaign

Following the Badman Review of Home Education from January to June 2009, the Government launched a consultation on proposals for compulsory registration and monitoring of home educated children in England. From July to October 2009, the Children Schools and Families Select Committee undertook an inquiry into the conduct of the Badman Review.

In November 2009 the Government tried to change the law on home education via the new Children Schools and Families Bill.

Education Otherwise has prepared a page of information about the Government's new proposals.
