Friday 9 April
Children Schools and Families Act 2010 receives Royal Assent

On April 7th the House of Lords voted in favour of Government amendments to drop the home education clauses (26,27 and Schedule 1) from the Children Schools and Families Bill. The following day the House of Commons accepted the Lords amendments and the Children Schools and Families Act 2010 received Royal Assent.

The law on home education has not been changed.

As soon as the new Act is available online we will post a link here.
